• Do I need to be present at the property during a valuation?

  No you don’t, but it is preferred if possible, as the agent may have some questions to ask during their visit. They can get in touch afterwards if necessary.

• Do I have to use a letting agent to rent out my property?

  Using a letting agent is not a requirement. However, the responsibilities of landlords have become increasingly complex in recent years. These responsibilities include adhering to over 400 regulations and pieces of legislation, meeting health and safety requirements, and conducting regular property inspections. Consequently, many landlords opt to engage a letting agent to ensure their properties remain legally compliant and to alleviate the associated stress of property management.

• How much does it cost to use a letting agent?

  The cost varies based on the level of support required. Alexander & Co recognises that the needs of landlords differ, and as such, we offer three distinct service options: Let Only, Rent Collection, and Fully Managed. Although the Fully Managed service is more expensive than Rent Collection, many landlords have found that entrusting us with the comprehensive management of their property allows them to focus on other aspects of their lives.
