Steeped in history

Now the only town in Buckinghamshire to hold a weekly livestock market, Winslow was established as a market town in 1235 and is filled with characterful old timber-framed houses mixed with more modern buildings.

The town boasts the beautiful Winslow Hall, whose architecture is thought to have been designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and the beautiful St. Laurence church along its main road, and continues traditions such as the Winslow show, which takes place every August Bank Holiday Monday, something locals look forward to every year.

The town is also surrounded by similarly picture-perfect villages, including Little and Great Horwood, Swanbourne, Addington and Granborough. However, despite feeling like it’s in the heart of the country, Winslow is ideally based halfway between Aylesbury and Buckingham, meaning amenities are never further than 20 minutes away.
